Product Description

This violin is ideal for the beginning musician. It features maple wood back and sides, pear wood fingerboard and four fine tuners. It also includes a genuine horse hair wood bow, rosin and a featherweight carrying case with strap and carrying handle. Accessory colors/style may vary. Here are some hints to help keep your violin in tune: 1. Although the violins come with a bridge, it is not installed. Installing a bridge should is not difficult, but if you have a problem, please email us. The bridge has to be installed for the violin to play correctly. 2. Strings do tend to slip and lose their tune on a new violin because they need to stretch. If this happens, just give it time. The strings just need time to settle in. 3. If the violin pegs keep slipping, try to push the peg in while turning it. If they still dont stay in, peg drops are available at most music stores. They are relatively inexpensive and should help the pegs stay in. 4. If a strand of hair breaks on the bow, take a pair of nail clippers and cut it from the frog (bottom of the bow) or the top of the bow. A few hairs are bound to fall out with play. Remember to rub a little rosin (included) on the bow before playing. This is a great violin to get started with. And at this price it is an unbeatable value.

AZ town Said: Good official instrument May. 8th 2010

I meet got this violin because I've wanted to learn how to play for years. I do have a lot of undergo with activity piano, so I'm not a rank stranger to reading penalization and how a progress helper works. The quality of this instrument is okay, the good is okay, and in fact, nearly everything most the helper is okay. The housing is very nice. The downsides are: it came with exclusive digit tender of instructions, the rosin was crumbly, and this is strictly a official instrument.

If you hit no experience with violins, like me, you are feat to requirement more than one tender of instructions about how to set up the bridge, etc. Luckily, after a quick search on the 'net I found all the info I necessary and was ready to go. The rosin was so crumbly that it was very difficult to intend sufficiency on the bow so that activity was possible--you strength poverty to visit whatever extra to go along with it. I conceive this little violin will be meet fine to start discover with, but I know that if I really verify to it I'm gonna poverty a lowercase nicer one with meliorate acoustics.

In summary, for a toll of 59.95, this is sure not a intense deal.

Portia Lingwood Said: Great prop! Apr. 19th 2010

I needed this beautiful crazy-blue string as an educational tool for doctrine about the science of penalization and good . The physics are all there and for the outlay it seems to be working fine!

I know null most playing violin, but I'm forward that this is mostly for ingest as a toy. The lowercase pegs that stop the section on can just pop out, so it probable wouldn't hold it's tuning. We are generally moving it gingerly so it doesn't break, but I think some violin, professed or toy should be handled with care.

When I first opened it, I had to work a long instance to administer rosin to the gesture before it would make some sound at all. I crapper impart youtube for the tutorial, because it didn't come with any sort of instructions.

Lastly, the little vegetation example that holds the strings up away from the embody of the string seems a little flimsy. If I had to pick a piece that module fortuity first, my money would be on that little thing.

Stacie L. Bouyear Said: It's Great Dec. 3rd 2009

Other then the chin rest and tuning pegs existence a different colouration this is a great violin. When i first got it, it did hit a hard instance staying in tune but after the bridge and section had instance to settle in it stays in tune great. It is also a much deeper chromatic then in the picture. i gave it quaternary stars because of the colouration modify and that mine was scuffed up in random locate but after i rubbed it with a rag it came correct off. Overall i am very pleased.

John A. Weisel Said: Affordable and playable Nov. 26th 2009

Great beginners violin. Sturdy case. The dustlike tuners are baritone profile.I love mine. The included rosin block looks same a forbid of hotel soap, so you'll need to get a large one. The actual colouration is a deeper blue than the display picture.

Matthew Said: Just Say No Sep. 18th 2009

Please, as a professional educator and musician, stay away from these instruments. Yes, they countenance cool, but their calibre is generally extremely poor. They break easily and often artefact in pitch. Most of all, the sound quality isn't beatific at all compared to nearly all other enrollee models.
