I've definite recently that I'd like to pick up drumming as my next instrument, as I've learned guitar and I don't feel like it's the "right" instrument for me.I undergo to start out, I'll requirement follow and a training pad, as a bare minimum.

They ready locution "you can't do anything with that, its just a plaything your not gonna attain a living" and clog like that. They poverty me to be either a dentis, docter, or accountant. Which I don't poverty to be. How can I convince them that I poverty to do music, because I want to tell them now and not move til i'm 19 to verify them and them feature no.Also, marching adornment flavour is coming up and this year, eighth graders are aloud. I asked my senior sister, she said that I should totally tie because she couldn't get a chance she's the oldest and had to babysit us, she was a percussionist, but had to quit, she doesn't endeavor some instruments today so I asked my mom if I can join, and she said "no". thanks guys. but i don't poverty to kibosh playing another instruments, i enjoy playing them and they attain me meliorate at more instruments too. i know i'm a little young, but i'm pretty old with music, i learned recorder in ordinal grade, viola in fourth but I depart and when i played trumpet i was the best, i was prototypal chair discover of 17 every year. i play french horn now, and i was prototypal chair all year too. i also did verify private lessons in guitar, drums, trumpet, and voice. i don't organisation making it big, but i do indite music so i want to be a drummer or bass player in a band. but i also want to be in a symphony playing french horn. and when i'm free, teach. and one terminal thing, its not likewise late for marching band yet, i ease have a few days!
